1975Saudi Arabian Airlines started a program to train Saudi Nationals in the USA to obtain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft & PowerPlant (A&P) certificates. -

1982Technical Services Division (TSV) performed the first aircraft heavy inspection. -

1984Saudi Arabian Airlines self-manned and managed its fleet maintenance. The Jet Propulsion Center (JPC) was launched, and the first engine overhaul was performed. The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Part 145 certificate AMO01- was obtained. -

The Helicopter Service Center was launched as an authorized Maintenance Service Center by Leonardo Helicopters. Saudia Technic was approved as an exclusive Authorized Maintenance Center for APU by Honeywell for the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region.
