Future Technic

JEDDAH – Saudia Technic, in cooperation with Saudia Academy, has rebranded its pioneering Aircraft Maintenance Training Program as 'Future Technic', coinciding with the inclusion of the program's first cohort of Saudi women trainees.
This took place during a ceremony held at Saudia Academy building in Jeddah, where the incoming cohort of female trainees was welcomed in the presence of the executive management from both companies.
The unveiling of the new name is part of Saudia Technic and Saudia Academy’s commitment to developing and expanding a program that has spanned more than a decade, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s objectives towards achieving comprehensive and integrated national growth.
This development, which coincides with the inclusion of the first cohort of Saudi women trainees, underscores both companies' dedication to empowering the nation’s young women and integrating them into the workforce across various fields within Saudia Technic. This, in turn, will enable these women to become key contributors to the aircraft maintenance sector, enhancing their impact on the national economy in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
It is noteworthy that the 'Future Technic ' program, supported in partnership with the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) and accredited by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, designed to prepare and qualify male and female trainees in the field of aircraft maintenance by equipping them with the necessary skills, with the distinction that all who complete the training receive their licenses, enabling them to become active members of the Saudia Technic team and contribute to its future-building journey.
Commenting on this achievement, Abdul Khaliq Saeed, CEO Saudia Technic, stated: “Our welcoming of the first batch of Saudi female trainees reflects our commitment to developing the capabilities, expertise, and knowledge of young Saudi nationals wishing to build a career in the aviation industry, which has always been at the top of our priorities. We are also proud of the individual and collective endeavors of these talented young Saudi women and are confident they will be further motivated and inspired to continue their path to a long and rewarding career as aircraft technicians and engineers for the future."
From his side, the Vice President of Human Capital Group, Rakan Kayyal, added: "Saudia Technic has been dedicated to integrating female talent across all its departments. Today, we are proud to welcome young Saudi women to train and work in the aircraft maintenance sector, and we are confident in their contributions to advancing technical operations and achieving the company’s strategic goals."
The group of female trainees are scheduled to begin their upcoming training at Saudia Academy in Jeddah starting this September. The program will span 36 months, including 24 months of academic education followed by 12 months of intensive practical training.
